Information and purpose

Dane Spotter Health is the owner's private personal activity integration. With Google authorization, it reads exercise sessions, steps, heart-rate information and estimated active energy for activity review. Records may include exercise type, duration, source intervals and reported source information. A linked-Health-profile check verifies the connection; a persistent identity reference is retained locally and is not treated as anonymous information.

The connection requests only the activity and fitness read-only group and the health metrics and measurements read-only group. These groups cover broader categories than the selected collections used here. Only granted permissions are used; withholding a group leaves its information unavailable. The collector does not request Google Health write access.

Storage and security

Google authorization takes place in the system browser. Credentials and cached Health records are stored on the owner's Windows laptop using current-user encryption. Encrypted recovery copies may be retained. Protection depends on the laptop and Windows account; software running as the same user may access the information.

Use and recipients

Selected summaries are sent to the owner's treadmill Home display and existing private Spotter spreadsheet workflow for review by the Doc assistant. Doc manages authoritative training-history and coaching updates. Native treadmill information remains a separate source. Google credentials are not included in summary feeds.

The collector uses information for the owner's directed personal activity workflow. It does not sell Health information, use it for advertising or use it to train models. Google, the spreadsheet provider and the assistant service process information under their applicable terms and account settings. This notice does not guarantee particular retention or training settings for those services.

Dane Spotter Health's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Sources and accuracy

Activity intervals and sample times remain distinct from retrieval and publication times. Missing information is not zero. Periodic summaries are not live heart-rate monitoring, and a successful read does not establish complete watch synchronization or sensor accuracy. Estimated active energy excludes basal energy and is kept separate from total energy. Watch and treadmill estimates are not added together or automatically matched.

Retention and deletion

Cached records, encrypted recovery copies and previously shared summaries may remain until the owner deliberately removes them. There is no automatic coordinated deletion or fixed retention period. Removal must be handled separately for local storage and each receiving service. The collector does not synchronize deletions with Google Health.

Owner control

The owner can stop the collector and revoke the Google connection through Google Account settings. Revocation stops future authorized access when it takes effect; it does not erase information already stored or shared. Access can also expire or fail. Unavailable access is reported as unavailable rather than as zero activity.

Contact and changes

For questions about this integration or to coordinate removal of retained information, contact the operator using the support email displayed on Google's consent screen for Dane Spotter Health.

This notice will be reviewed when the integration's permissions, information, recipients, processing or retention behavior changes. The date above identifies the latest update.
